The SBG Junior Tour was organised to promote junior golf in the Sunshine Burnett Glasshouse golf district. Clubs in the SBG District are supported by the SBG Committee in the organisation and running of Junior events for boys and girls who may come from any Golf Australia affiliated golf club.
A close liaison has been maintained with Graeme Miller and his team to ensure we continue the great work the Invincibles Tour has done for the past 20 years prior to the Invincibles Tour closing down at the end of 2022.

In the inaugral year there are 15 clubs hosting Junior Opens or Junior Classic events as part of the SBG Junior Tour. This affords junior players the opportunity to experience a variety of golf courses across the SBG District.

Male and female players without a G.A. handicap are invited to play in either the 6 hole or 9 hole events.  Players in these two divisions play much shorter holes and under modified conditions.  Players in the 6 and 9 hole events will be given an SBG Tour handicap after the first event they play and future adjustments to their SBG Tour handicap will be made according to Section 3 in the Players' Manual. Under certain circumstances players with a G.A. handicap may be permitted to play in the 9 hole competition. For more information download a copy of the SBG Junior Tour Players' Manual HERE.

The more experienced players with a current G.A. handicap compete in gender based fields under the normal Rules of Golf.
